The Holiday Seeds Leadership Camp (SLC) for teenage girls started in Budalang’i.
2014
Registered as a Community-Based Organization (CBO) in Kayole, Embakasi Central, Nairobi. The registration certificate was issued in September 2014
2016
The #Pads4Progress campaign expanded to Komarocks and Kiambiu informal settlements in Nairobi County and to Seme in Kisumu County, Kendu Bay in Homa Bay County and Budalang’i in Busia County.
2017
Teenseed institutionalized and headquarters established in Kiambiu informal settlements, Nairobi.
2019
Teenseed receives its first ever institutional grant. This is unrestricted funding from the Global Fund for Women. Teenseed invests the funds in organization capacity strengthening, brand development and organizational positioning for greater impact. Teenseed undertakes its first Organization Capacity Assessment (OCA), develops its website and activates its social media communication
2020
Acquired structure and established a girls' center and temporary rescue shelter. It offered community response by providing badly needed dry foodstuff, sanitizers, diapers, sanitary pads and masks during the COVID-19 lockdown.
2021
Developed organizational policies, acquired equipment and improved technology, and reviewed and improved its programs and projects.
2022
Developed its first Strategic Plan. It also developed its annual work plan and budget for 2023, held a team retreat, stepped up its fundraising efforts, staffing and systems strengthening.
