In 2020, Teenseed carried out a baseline study that demonstrated the prevalence of GBV in the informal settlements of Kiambiu. Recommendations from the report pointed to the need to work closely with men as allies and influencers of behavioral change to prevent and respond to GBV in the community. Teenseed has also nurtured collaboration with young men as allies. Through these collaborations, Teenseed is able to spread messages to wider audiences regarding respecting, promoting and protecting the rights of women and girls through the Community Male Champions Program (CMCP).
