Building resilience by cushioning poor households from economic challenges and providing economic empowerment interventions. During the COVID pandemic and resulting lockdowns, Teenseed provided more than 340 vulnerable families, including the elderly, those infected with HIV, PWD, and key populations with food and non-food items. The organization undertakes rapid response food distribution drives during humanitarian crises. Teenseed is also engaged in economic empowerment interventions that have successfully equipped young women with financial and entrepreneurial skills. As a result they have established and are managing successful village-level table banking and savings and loans associations. This has contributed to the women’s wealth
creation and long-term savings culture. Teenseed has supported women by providing seed money to start and boost their businesses in the six villages of Kiambiu.
