IDEO works on projects in the consumer food and beverage, retail, computer, medical, educational, furniture, office, and automotive industries. Winnie Obure and teenseed were featured in ideo.org december newsletter.
Winny Obure is a Women’s Rights Defender who started TeenSeed Africa, an organization focused on sexual and reproductive health rights. Girls can literally call her in the middle of the night and Winny will mobilize her network of human rights leaders to bring the girl to safety. She supports girls to become leaders in their communities. It was from her own traumatic experiences as a young girl that Winny drew the inspiration and strength to found TeenSeed. I was deeply touched and humbled by her bravery and her ability to find emotional resilience in the fight for justice.
